CEREC CAD/CAM

CEREC is the short term for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, or CEramic REConstruction. This is a system that uses CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) to offer single-day restorations for patients. This new technology has revolutionized ceramic restorations such as crowns, filling and veneers for patients so that there is no longer a wait between preparing the restoration and finally receiving the finished product.

CEREC Filling

Ceramic filling using a durable and aesthetic filling material. Through 3D design and computer-aided drilling unit shapes a correctly-shaped porcelain filling to be attached to the tooth, using fixing cement. Ceramic fillings are also kinder to your teeth as we preserve much more of your natural tooth structure. This means your teeth are stronger and reduces the need for a crown later in life.

Material of CEREC Fillings

Common tooth filling materials are silver powder, resin and ceramics. Ceramic materials is the best solution for modern dentistry. It was developed to closely mimic natural tooth enamel, both in wear rate, feel and aesthetics. The durability of ceramics is far greater than plastic composite resins as well.

The advantages of CEREC fillings
